Seijo University & Books Kinokuniya Academia vol.2: An Introduction to Textual Scholarship - Plato, Shakespeare, Kafka (Finished)

Seijo University’s Research Center for Textual Scholarship will host its first event, “An Introduction to Textual Scholarship - Plato, Shakespeare, Kafka”, at the Academic Lounge on the 3rd floor of Shinjuku Branch of Books Kinokuniya in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Every book we interact with exists because of someone’s editorial efforts.
Engaging with a text is also an encounter with these editorial traces.

In this seminar, using Plato, Shakespeare, and Kafka as examples, we will shine light on the various issues surrounding texts and editorial processes, introducing the allure and potential of “textual scholarship”.
